Terms of Service

These terms govern the repair service provided by FixNow ("we", "us") to you ("customer"). By submitting a repair request — online or in person — you agree to these terms.

2. The service

We diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and other small electronics. Service is provided in Vaasa, with mobile service available within the region.

3. Quote and pricing

  • We provide a quote before starting any work. No work begins without your confirmation.
  • If diagnosis reveals additional faults, we contact you before doing further work.
  • Prices include parts and labour unless stated otherwise. We are not currently VAT-registered (small-business exemption under Finnish VAT law §3), so no VAT is added.
  • Mobile service may include a travel fee at €0.57/km when service is delivered outside our usual area.

4. No-fix-no-fee

If we cannot fix your device, you don't pay for the repair attempt. A small diagnostic fee may apply in advance for severe damage cases (water, board-level faults) — this will be agreed in writing before we accept the device.

5. Warranty

30 days on labour

The warranty covers defects in the parts we installed and the workmanship of the repair. It does not cover:

  • Physical damage occurring after the repair (drops, impacts, crushing)
  • Liquid damage occurring after the repair
  • Software issues unrelated to the original repair
  • Damage caused by tampering, unauthorized repairs, or third-party parts
  • Pre-existing faults outside the scope of the original repair

To claim warranty, bring the device with proof of repair (your invoice or repair number) within the warranty period.

6. Data backup is your responsibility

Important
Back up your device before bringing it in. Repairs can result in data loss — for example, screen replacement on a non-responsive phone may make data recovery impossible afterwards. We cannot guarantee data preservation and are not liable for lost data.

7. Device collection

  • We'll contact you when the repair is complete.
  • Devices uncollected for more than 90 days after we've notified you may be treated as abandoned. We reserve the right to recoup storage and repair costs, including (as a last resort) sale of the device to recover unpaid charges, in accordance with Finnish law.
  • Please bring your repair number or invoice for collection.

8. Liability

Our liability for any claim related to a repair is limited to the price you paid for that repair. We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data (see section 6)
  • Loss of business, profit, or indirect/consequential damages
  • Pre-existing damage not caused by us
  • Damage occurring after the device leaves our care

None of these limitations affect the statutory rights you have as a consumer under Finnish law (Kuluttajansuojalaki).

9. Payment

Payment is due on collection unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, bank transfer, and mobile payment. Invoices are issued for every paid repair and retained for 6 years under Finnish accounting law.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel a repair before work has begun at no charge. Once work has begun, you are responsible for the cost of parts already ordered and labour already performed.

12. Dispute resolution

We aim to resolve any concern directly — contact us first using the email above.

If we can't reach agreement, consumers in Finland may take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi), or seek free guidance from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (kkv.fi).

These terms are governed by Finnish law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version always applies to new repairs from the "Last updated" date above.
